Warm up with Italy’s Favorite Coffee at the New Centennial Café This Winter
Located on the bottom floor of Centennial Hall at 100 Auburn Avenue, the Centennial Café is PantherDining’s newest location across campus. The Centennial Café serves Lavazza brand lattes, espresso, cappuccinos, and flavored coffee drinks. There is also a variety of snack options and lunch fare on its recently expanded menu. The Café opened its doors for business Wednesday, January 15th, 2014, and currently operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
“We chose Lavazza Coffee because we were looking for something new and exciting to bring to campus,” explained Lenore Musick, Director of PantherDining, Insourced Operations. “Lavazza really stood out with its creamy espresso and rich European coffee tradition.”
Lavazza has been served in Italian cafés and households for over 100 years. As one of the biggest coffee brands in the world, its bold taste and decadent aroma are recognized worldwide. The company focuses on sustainable coffee production and sells select espresso roast beans for premium-quality European-style coffee drinks.
“I was so excited to hear that the café would be serving Lavazza,” said Dr. Sarah Cook, Associate Dean in the Honor’s College and the very first patron of the café. My husband and I visited friends in Rome a few years back, and we drank Lavazza cappuccino in the mornings at a local café. The cappuccino at the Centennial Café has definitely brought back great memories of my trip, and the café baristas are really personable and knowledgeable.”
Students are finding their café favorites as well. Acacia, a student at GSU, said that the “hot chocolate was smooth, and had the right amount of creamy deliciousness with a hint of cocoa.”
Casey Seldon, also a student at GSU, is a big fan of the Reese’s Latte. “The Reese’s Latte was great! It was the perfect mix of peanut buttery and chocolate delight!”
The Centennial Café’s menu includes a wide variety of traditional as well as unique flavored coffee drinks, espressos, and cappuccinos. Stop on by and try an authentic Italian espresso or cappuccino, or go for the indulgent Reese’s chocolate and peanut butter Latte. With over a dozen delicious flavor options to choose from, you are sure to find something to satisfy.
