Leslie Knapp, MS, RD, LD

 

Leslie Knapp is the registered dietitian for PantherDining. While studying nutrition at Georgia State, she was the nutritionist at Patton and Piedmont North Dining Halls and completed rotations focused on eating disorders, sports nutrition, wellness and medical nutrition therapy. In August 2014 Leslie graduated from Georgia State’s Coordinated Nutrition Program with her Master’s in Health Sciences.

Using her education and experience she has initiated Healthy Habits, a health promotion program in the dining halls. She is also available to students with a meal plan for individual nutrition counseling or to answer any questions regarding food allergies, intolerances, preferences or restrictions.

In her free time, Leslie enjoys yoga, hiking and walking her dog Ace. She also enjoys cooking and trying different restaurants in the Atlanta area. Leslie’s food philosophy is evidence-based and includes balance and moderation of enjoyable foods.

Julia Dragoo, Nutritionist

 

Julia Dragoo is a second-year master’s student in Georgia State’s Coordinated Nutrition Program. For the 2017-2018 school year, she is serving as a graduate assistant with Nutrition Services. Julia has experience in school nutrition, counseling, community outreach and nutrition education. After graduation in fall 2018, she plans to work in school nutrition or bariatric counseling as a registered dietitian. In her free time, Julia enjoys exercising, spending time with her friends and family, hiking, yoga, playing with her cross-eyed cat and cooking. She also enjoys traveling and trying new foods!

 Mark Johnson, Nutritionist

 

Mark Johnson is a second-year master’s student in Georgia State’s Coordinated Nutrition Program and is also completing a master’s Certificate in Gerontology. For the 2017-2018 school year, he is serving as a graduate assistant with Nutrition Services. Mark has experience in employee health and wellness, early child development, school and college aged nutrition and extended rotations with senior nutrition. Following graduation in August 2018, Mark plans to become a registered dietitian with a focus in senior care and wellness. In his free time, he likes hanging out with friends, hiking, camping and exploring all the amazing restaurants and parks in Atlanta.

 Caroline Murphy, Nutritionist

 

Caroline Murphy is a second-year master’s student in Georgia State’s Coordinated Nutrition Program. For the 2017-2018 school year, she is serving as a graduate assistant with Nutrition Services. Caroline has experience working with college-aged students, food service management, cooking demonstrations and sports nutrition. She is looking forward to graduating next fall to pursue her career as a registered dietitian. Her areas of interest include digestive health and intuitive eating with an integrative approach. Outside of school, Caroline enjoys running, yoga, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
