First Campus in the South with 2 Star Certified Green Dining Halls

Atlanta, GA – 9/3/2015
Piedmont North Dining Hall and Patton Dining Hall at Georgia State University were recently certified as a 2 Star Certified Green Restaurant® by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), a national nonprofit organization helping restaurants to become more environmentally sustainable. Receiving 159.84 GreenPoints™ on the GRA’s rigorous certification scale and having implemented 54 environmental steps, both dining halls at Georgia State University have gone 59.84% above and beyond the minimum requirements necessary for Certification.

“We are proud of Georgia State’s environmental accomplishments in their dining services,” said Michael Oshman, CEO and Founder of the Green Restaurant Association. “All of their dining halls now meet the 2 Star Certified Green Restaurant® standards.”
