No Label? We've Still Got You Covered On Nutrition Facts!
Although there might not be a physical label on the foods you find in our dining halls, there’s still a way to find the nutrition facts for the foods you’re eating. We’re here to help you easily locate the nutrition facts labels on our website so you can stay on track with your nutrition goals all semester long.
To explore our dining hall menus at Piedmont Central and Piedmont North, start by heading over to dining.gsu.edu. (Odds are if you’ve made your way to this blog post, you know how to get there.) On the main page, scroll down slightly and you’ll see “EXPLORE OUR MENUS” with two links underneath — one to the Piedmont Central menu and one to the Piedmont North menu.
By clicking either of these links, you’ll be taken to another webpage that shows you the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus for the current day, as well as a panel on the left-hand side where you can view the menus for any of the other days that week. The legend on the left-hand side can also help you find specific items on the menus such as vegetarian options, foods made with locally sourced ingredients, and those that include allergens.
In the top right-hand corner, you’ll see a search bar with “Find Your Favorite Food…” above it. Here, you can search any of the items on our dining hall menus. By searching an item, you’ll be taken to another webpage that shows you on what days, at what meal, and at what dining hall the item will be served.
On this same page, you’ll notice under the “Description” box, the food item you searched for will be attached to a hyperlink. By clicking on the name of the food item, you’ll be able to view a nutrition facts label for that food, complete with serving size, calories, ingredients, allergens, protein, dietary fiber and more. Reading the nutrition facts label can help you make food decisions in the dining hall that allow you to stay on track with your nutrition goals.
